Fathullah Soaring To Wuhan !
I'd never given much thought to how I would spent my holidays but fate has. So follow me on this exciting, extraodinary suspenseful life-changing trip to Wuhan!

Day 5 - First Day of Lesson

Look at how skinny the trunks of the trees and how bald the branches are! Somehow while looking at those trees; I can picture myself as one of them. Just imangine if they were alive. I bet they would say, "I need a sweater or jacket, it is so cold!" ^_^

It was my first day of class in Wuhan. I felt like a student who was transferred from Ngee Ann Polytechnic to WUST. It really felt like my fist day of school! Going out of my dormitory while carrying my school bag makes me feel like I am one of them! I learnt this sentence during my first few days in Wuhan, "Wo shi zhong guo lai de!" This makes me a unique person because although I can say that sentence but contradicting to it, I cannot speak mandarin! I am learning, so I am taking it slowly. "Man man xue". ^_^

Today in class, not everyone was excited. May be it is because most of them were exhausted from the outings and shopping trips they had during the weekends. However despite the class being tired and lethargic, the lesson had to go on. So Ms Neo started teaching her first lesson on Project Management. I think Project Management is a module which I can really relate myself to in real life because as a committee member of the Track and Field club, me and the other committee members have many events to organize be it a small or big event. So I think this module would be really helpful for me now and also in the future when I enter he working world.

To recap, today I learned the life and times of my project, the statement of work, critical path method, work breakdown structure, and the activity-on-node network diagram. It was quite easy at the start because everything was quite basic but as the lesson went on, everything got more complicated. However learning in Wuhan gives a different atmosphere compared to learning in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Knowing that most of student hosts from WUST got 3.9 or 4.0 for their GPA shows that the WUST students arounds are workingg hard, so subconsiously I tend to work hard as well. Thus when the lesson gets more complicated, I tend to listen more attentively in class compared to when I was back in Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

After lesson, the whole class stayed back to discuss about what is to be done for the performance and skit that we ae going to present to the students and teacher of WUST. There are 5 groups and each group in supposed to present something as a group individually, we should present together as a team but in sequence so that I will look like one whole performance. So watch out for day 6, where the highlight of the post will be the performances! ^_^

When I was on my way back to my dormitory, I realized that was snowing! This time it I realized that it was snowing a little bit heavier than the first time. So here is the video of the snow!

I thought the snow was going to be for a while but it lasted until the night! After dinner, I took a second video of he snow. This time at night! I realize that if it was snowing of raining, it will cause traffic congeston along the road near my dormitory. It will cause difficulties for the pedestrians as it will be hard for them to walk across as the cars are so close that there is no space for pedestrians to squeeze through. Anyway, here is the video of the snow at night!

Reflection
Today was the first day of school and I find that the time past really fast! Although I had 6 hours of class today, but it felt like it was only 2 hours! May be it is because of the new atmosphere that I felt that way but it was a good feeling and I loved it! The snow that was falling down today also had an effect on me because snow is not something I see everyday. It gives me the motivation to study and do well so that when I grow up, I can be successful and see many other magnificent things around the world, may be more snow in Canada or Switzerland! ^_^
